BMB is a private mental health clinic located in Clive, Iowa, offering confidential therapy and consultation services.  Treatment plans are unique to each individual's personal needs and goals.  Therapeutic yoga is also available as a treatment modality and incorporates yogic philosophy, yoga asana (physical postures), pranayama (breath work), and meditation.

MENTAL HEALTH THERAPY AND PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATION

I believe that anyone can benefit from therapy and interpersonal development!  In therapy, you will have the opportunity to process life experiences in a nonjudgmental and safe setting; all while learning valuable tools to build resilience, facilitate wanted changes and goals, and better manage mental health symptoms. 

A few things to note:

I currently only work with individual adults for therapy.      

Telehealth services are available based off of insurance plan.

YOGA THERAPY

Interested in trying yoga, but nervous about attending a group class? Yoga Therapy offers a safe space to explore postures, philosophy, breathwork, and meditation at your own pace and focuses on healing all layers of being (mind, body, and spirit).  Read more about yoga therapy on the Resources page. 
Yoga Therapy cannot be billed through insurance.

ABOUT SARAH L. WHITE

MS, LMHC, NCC, RYT200, TIYT

(she/her)

I am a part Native American female who is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor through the state of Iowa, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher.  I completed my Bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in Psychology and Criminal Justice and obtained my Master's degree in Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from Drake University. 


I began taking yoga classes and practicing meditation and breathwork during college as a way to alleviate stress and manage my own anxiety, which inspired me to pursue yoga teacher training and studies in yoga therapy in order to better serve others in their own personal journey towards improved quality of life, and samadhi. 

With over 10 years of counseling and yoga experience, I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma/PTSD, disordered eating, military members/family, BIPOC populations, LGBTQ populations, and women’s potential.  At this time, I only work with adults on an individual basis.


I love to utilize a wide array of theories and approaches when working with clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, distress tolerance, meditation/breathwork, and yoga therapy, and work to personalize treatment in a culturally-sensitive way to each unique individual.


In my free time, I can be found teaching yoga classes or doing speaking events throughout the community, and love reading, live music, and time in nature!
